Job Description

4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Salary Range: 120k to 130k Per Annum

Job Description

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Problem Identification and Solution: Utilize a minimum of 5 years of experience to understand business objectives and problems, identifying alternative solutions.

  2. User Requirement Analysis: 5 years of experience in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and problems to automate processing.

  3. Program Description and Modification: 5 years of experience in writing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop and/or modify computer programs.

  4. Cost/Benefit Analysis: Perform cost/benefit analysis of systems and alternative solutions to inform decision-making processes.

  5. Input and Output Requirements: Analyze and document input and output requirements, including forms of data input, data summarization methods, and reporting formats.

  6. Analytical Ability: Possess a high level of sound logic and analytical ability to tackle complex problems effectively.

  7. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate highly developed oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

  8. Industry Knowledge:Showcase a minimum of 5 years of knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions, and market experience. Relate industry trends to the organization's objectives and strategies.

  9. Architectural Knowledge: Exhibit 5 years of knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, applications, and organizational structure.

  10. Emerging Technologies: Possess 5 years of knowledge of emerging technologies, both new to the company systems and new to the information systems industry.

Preferred Experience

  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience with the Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templates.

  2. Familiarity with the company's information architecture and information management methodologies.

  3. Familiarity with existing and planned software technology, as well as global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components.
