Job Description

- Plans and coordinates clerical and administrative function relative to billing and payroll for the Fire Detail Unit.

- Maintains and secures all detail records.

- Coordinates with other city departments such as Personnel Assignment, BFD payroll, BAIS and the Treasurer’s office to ensure successful workflow and communication within department.

- Ability to work independently and sufficiently.

- Performs related duties as required.

 

Minimum Entrance Qualifications

 

- Applicant must have at least four (4) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in office or business administration.

- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and People HRMS beneficial.

- Basic accounting background preferred with basic knowledge of reviewing paycheck data.

- Ability to perform reconciliations between software systems on a weekly basis.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

- Educational substitutions will be permitted for a maximum of two years required experience.
