Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in marketing communications and possess a strong background in newsletters, writing, and publishing design. This role requires expertise in various marketing areas, including social media, promotional marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation tools, and web analytics.

 

Minimum Requirements:

- Experience: 2-5 years as a Marketing Communications Coordinator

- Newsletters and Writing: Minimum 1 year of demonstrated equivalent writing and publishing design skills; experience in public relations,    marketing, targeted marketing, especially social media, promotional marketing, lead nurturing marketing automation tools, and web analytics for any agency.

- Email Marketing: Minimum 1 year experience in email marketing and marketing automation technology.

- Email Marketing Concepts: Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics.

- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint. Access, report-writer, and/or Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.

- Writing Style: Knowledge of Associated Press Style.

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of aquatic invasive species or conservation awareness communication in Texas is preferred.

- Media Terminology: Knowledge of marketing and media terminology and commonly used metrics.

- Social Media Experience: Experience using social media platforms for paid advertising, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and YouTube.

- Advertising Expertise: Experience with out-of-home advertising, including billboards and gas station advertising.

- Project Management: Skills in project management, time management, and teamwork.

 

Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute marketing communication strategies.

- Develop and maintain newsletters with engaging content.

- Implement email marketing campaigns using automation technology.

- Utilize social media platforms for paid advertising.

- Manage out-of-home advertising initiatives, including billboards and gas station advertising.

- Ensure adherence to Associated Press Style in all communications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.

- Track and analyze marketing metrics using web analytics tools.

- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
