Job Description

The primary work location(s) will be at 100% Remote, Work Location With-in the United States.

Requires the services of 1 Business Intelligence Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Business Intelligence Analyst 3, Data/Database Administration and the specifications outlined in this document for the Education Agency.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Education Agency  and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by law. Education Agency will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

The candidate must meet the general qualification of Business Intelligence Analyst 3 - Level 3 and the specifications outlined in this document.

The worker will provide support to TEA's Financial Data Scientist and/or Finance Division and may be directed to assist with query and report development for all PeopleSoft modules. This includes but is not limited to review of all current queries utilized by DIR financial staff and make recommendation and or changes to the queries to bring them to current CAPPS standards. 

The worker will provide coordination of efforts, including, but not limited to all phases of the additional report design and development, assist with UAT, and Training; as well as follow up support.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered “works made for hire” and are the property of the TEA. 

The worker must have a strong background in Financial Business Processes, Query Development, Business Objects 3.1 or 4.0 (or higher) and it is preferred if the candidate has provided query data that has been utilized by other visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau and the like. 

PeopleSoft and Data Warehouse technology.

RATE RANGE: 110K TO 130/annum

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity.

  • 8 years of required reporting experience with Business Intelligence Report Writing best practices
  • 8 years of required reporting experience in Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement
  • 8 years of required experience in the development of various reporting mechanisms
  • 8 years of required experience with PeopleSoft
  • 8 years of required State of Budget and Finance experience using CAPPS
  • 8 years of required proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products
  • 8 years of required strong communication skills, presenting complex financial information to users/stakeholders
  • 7 years of preferred reporting experience with TCAPPS PeopleSoft
  • 5 years of preferred experience with TCAPPS Financials modules implementation or post-go live, with an emphasis on reporting activities
  • 5 years of preferred knowledge of TCAPPS configurations and budgetary structure
  • 5 years of preferred experience with TCAPPS Budget and Reporting Policies and Business Processes
