Job Description

The Lynn office of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a temporary Administrative Support professional. This full-time, onsite role will primarily be based in the Lynn office, with occasional remote support responsibilities for the DCF Beverly office.

RATE: $20.70 - $22.70/hr. On W2

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM (standard business hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry and typing from various sources.

  • Act as the office receptionist: greet clients and visitors, answer and route telephone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate departmental staff.

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support, including handling mail and faxes.

  • Offer routine information regarding DCF office locations, programs, and services.

  • Support the Area Director with administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

  • Assist with additional projects or assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Strong typing and data entry skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in client-facing situations.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a busy office environment.

  • Previous experience in switchboard operation and front desk/reception duties is highly desirable.

This is a 100% onsite position based in Lynn, MA, with support to the Beverly DCF office as needed.
