- Review and follow QA/QC procedures, including reading detailed job instructions (e.g., simplex/duplex).
- Maintain mailroom inventory and notify the supervisor of supply needs.
- Step into lead duties when supervisor is absent (e.g., organizing job tables and monitoring workflow).

- Provide telephone-based customer service (e.g., job status updates).

- Noisy machine room environment with constant equipment operation (headphones permitted).
- Physical job with long periods of standing and multiple daily breaks.
- High attention to detail is essential to prevent costly errors (e.g., incorrect envelopes on large jobs).
- Mistakes can result in large-scale rework (e.g., thousands of envelopes manually corrected).
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs (e.g., trays of envelopes, skids, carts).
- Consistently meet deadlines and complete tasks on time.
- Strong attention to detail to identify and correct errors before output is distributed.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication (beginner/advanced beginner level acceptable).

Desired Qualifications (Not Required)
- Experience in mailroom or office work related to incoming/outgoing mail processing (sorting, weighing, metering, etc.).
- Familiarity with operating mail machines or sorters and making adjustments.
- Only submit candidates who possess a valid Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License. This is required for permanent roles, as team members must be eligible to rotate as drivers for the department’s courier van.
- The department will provide all necessary training and is seeking individuals who are eager to learn and ask questions during onboarding.
