Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Analyst / Security Architect with extensive experience in cybersecurity analysis, enterprise security architecture, and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, implementing, and managing security frameworks while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role requires excellent problem-solving, consultative, and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct cybersecurity analysis and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and manage security and enterprise architecture frameworks.

  • Perform audits of policies, standards, procedures, and technical environments to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Translate operational requirements into security controls, applying cybersecurity and privacy principles relevant to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.

  • Assess how security systems should work, including resilience and dependability capabilities, and determine the impact of operational or environmental changes.

  • Apply network security architecture concepts, including defense-in-depth strategies, topology, protocols, and system components.

  • Identify and secure critical infrastructure systems that may lack built-in security considerations.

  • Prepare and deliver clear presentations and reports on complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in cybersecurity, information technology security, computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, or related field.
    (Equivalent work experience may substitute for each year of required education — one year = 30 semester hours.)

  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years in the following areas:

    • Cybersecurity or information security analysis

    • Security and enterprise architecture development and implementation

    • Security risk assessments and/or audits within federal and state regulatory frameworks

    • Applying network security architecture concepts and defense-in-depth principles

    • Strong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to all levels of stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
