We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale data management projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Agile projects, particularly within state or federal government agencies or similar large organizations.

This role requires expertise in project planning, stakeholder coordination, Agile methodologies, and enterprise data initiatives, along with the ability to manage complex projects from initiation through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage enterprise-scale data management projects from planning through delivery.

• Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

• Manage projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring efficient sprint planning, backlog management, and project tracking.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, risk management plans, and status reports.

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Utilize project management tools such as Jira, Micro Focus Project Management, or similar systems to track project progress.

• Create and manage project documentation and deliverables following established frameworks.

• Ensure compliance with Texas Project Delivery Framework (TPDF) standards where applicable.

• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.

• Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder presentations.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Project Management.

• 8+ years of experience managing enterprise-scale data management projects.

• 8+ years of experience managing Agile projects within state or federal government agencies or similar organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience using project management tools such as Jira, Micro Focus Project Management, or similar platforms.

• 3+ years of experience creating Texas Project Delivery Framework (TPDF) deliverables and managing projects using this framework.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.

• Agile certifications such as:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

  • Other Agile-related certifications.
