We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead large-scale software development and technology initiatives across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex IT projects, overseeing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and working in Agile environments. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee large-scale IT and software development projects across multiple teams and departments.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, milestones, risks, and contingency plans.

• Guide teams through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and ensure business requirements are translated into technical solutions.

• Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables meet quality, scope, and timeline expectations.

• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.

• Lead Agile development teams, manage sprint planning, and track development progress.

• Facilitate regular project team meetings, sprint reviews, and status updates with stakeholders.

• Prepare and present weekly project status reports and executive updates.

• Maintain strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

• Ensure effective communication between business teams, development teams, and leadership.

• Support teams in resolving complex project challenges and ensuring successful project delivery.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT and software development projects.

• Proven experience leading enterprise-level projects across large organizations.

• Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

• Experience managing Agile development teams and feature-driven sprints.

• Experience managing multi-million-dollar IT projects.

• Strong ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification.

• Experience working with State of Texas agencies.

• Experience in healthcare or public health environments.
