We are seeking an experienced Drupal Technical Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-level web platforms. This role requires deep expertise in Drupal (8/9/10), Acquia Cloud Platform, and headless/decoupled architectures, along with strong experience in API integrations, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing digital solutions while ensuring accessibility and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of Drupal-based web applications, including headless/decoupled architectures.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations across enterprise platforms.
• Architect and implement solutions on the Acquia Cloud Platform, including Site Factory and DXP tools.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Acquia Pipelines, or Jenkins.
• Optimize website performance, caching strategies, and scalability in cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring developers, and guiding best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Manage version control and deployments using Git, Composer, and Drush.
• Work with modern front-end technologies to support responsive and user-friendly designs.
• Support containerization and deployment strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (if applicable).

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with RESTful APIs, integrations, and headless/decoupled Drupal.
• 5+ years of hands-on Drupal development experience (Drupal 8/9/10).
• Strong proficiency in PHP, Symfony, Composer, Drush, and Git.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Acquia Pipelines, Jenkins, etc.).
• Expertise in caching, performance tuning, and cloud hosting environments.
• Experience working in a technical lead or architect role.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Acquia Cloud Platform, Site Factory, and DXP tools.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (AA) and accessibility best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Acquia certifications (Drupal Developer, Site Studio, Cloud Pro, etc.).
• Experience with Site Studio, Acquia Personalization, or Acquia DAM.
• Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience working with government, higher education, or enterprise-scale platforms.
