Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support legacy system modernization and web-based application transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, SDLC, requirements gathering, and translating legacy system functionality into modern technical solutions. This role requires close collaboration with technical teams, stakeholders, and project leadership to support large-scale modernization efforts in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze legacy systems and identify modernization opportunities for web-based applications.
• Gather, document, and manage business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Translate existing application workflows and behaviors into modern system requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and consensus-building sessions.
• Coordinate project activities, task tracking, and communication across teams.
• Review SQL-based data models, system integrations, and data flow processes.
• Collaborate with development teams, architects, QA teams, and business users throughout the SDLC.
• Create clear, complete, and testable requirements documentation.
• Identify system gaps, compliance issues, and propose effective modernization solutions.
• Support application modernization projects involving .NET technologies and SQL databases.
• Assist with process improvement, workflow analysis, and system documentation.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements and changing technical environments.
• Maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
• 12+ years of experience in business analysis, system analysis, or related IT roles.
• Strong experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for web-based applications.
• Proven experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience analyzing legacy applications and supporting modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of SQL databases, system integrations, and data analysis.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and business teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience converting legacy systems into modern web-based solutions.
• Hands-on experience working with .NET development teams and SQL databases.
• Experience with project management methodologies and coordination activities.
• Experience supporting large-scale IT systems within government or regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• PMP, PMI-PBA, CBAP, or similar certification preferred.
