Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex projects and programs across data, analytics, cloud, business intelligence, data architecture, and enterprise technology environments.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale data and analytics initiatives from planning through delivery. This role requires a strong technical understanding of data architecture, data modeling, data warehousing, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications, combined with excellent project leadership, communication, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills.
Healthcare or experience working in a regulated environment is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical projects and programs across data, analytics, cloud, BI, and enterprise technology.
- Manage data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Lead business intelligence, big data, analytics, and data transformation projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, charters, roadmaps, status reports, and project documentation.
- Manage cross-functional teams including data engineers, developers, architects, analysts, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, resource plans, and financial status reporting.
- Track project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and deliverables.
- Partner with technical and business teams to resolve complex issues and maintain project timelines.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear information for business stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Utilize SQL and database knowledge to support project planning, estimation, requirements analysis, and issue resolution.
- Support healthcare data initiatives and projects involving standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7.
- Ensure projects follow appropriate security, compliance, privacy, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate project meetings, stakeholder workshops, planning sessions, status reviews, and executive presentations.
- Use project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
- Support AI, advanced analytics, digital transformation, and modernization initiatives.
- Maintain project documentation, including risk logs, issue logs, decision logs, project plans, and lessons learned.
- Provide proactive leadership, consulting, and facilitation across all levels of the organization.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, cloud, or enterprise technology.
- Strong experience with data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives.
- Proven experience managing Business Intelligence, Big Data, Data Analytics, or Data Transformation projects.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines.
- Experience with project scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executives.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, data systems, enterprise applications, SDLC, and IT processes.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7.
- Understanding of data governance, security, compliance, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or similar certification.
- Experience with AI, advanced analytics, machine learning, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and information management principles.
- TOGAF or cloud architecture certification.
- Azure, AWS, or GCP certifications.
