• Lead requirements gathering sessions through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery meetings.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements.
• Develop detailed user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, and process documentation aligned with business analysis best practices.
• Create process maps, workflows, wireframes, and UX mockups to support solution design and user experience improvements.
• Analyze current business processes and recommend process re-engineering opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Support projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements through testing and implementation.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
• Manage requirements and project artifacts using Modern Requirements and Atlassian Jira.
• Track issues, change requests, and project progress using Jira.
• Prepare clear, organized documentation, reports, presentations, and meeting summaries.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirement reviews, and solution discussions.
• Support complaint and case management workflows, including intake, investigation, and resolution processes when applicable.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of Business Analyst experience.
• Extensive experience gathering requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with business process re-engineering and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience developing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience creating wireframes and UX mockups.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and organizational skills.
• 4+ years of experience using Atlassian Jira.
• 2+ years of experience using Modern Requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), federal, state, or local education agencies, or education technology vendors.
• Experience supporting complaint and case management systems and workflows.
• Experience working in regulated public-sector or education environments.
